• Origin: IARI, New Delhi (released in 2012)
• Parent Plants: Amrapali × Lal Sundari
• Fruit Colour: Yellow-orange with slight red shade
• Taste: Sweet with mild tang, nice smell
• Texture: Smooth, soft, no fiber
• Maturity: Around 140 days after flowering
• TSS: Around 18.8° Brix (good sweetness)
• Yield: Regular bearer, high pulp (around 73%)

How to Plant & Use

Plant this mango in a spot where it gets morning sun and open air. For ground planting, keep 6m distance from other big plants. If growing in a pot, use 24–30 inch pot with good drainage (don’t go small, mango roots need space).

I always tell customers to mix garden soil, compost, and a little sand. Press the soil gently, don’t stamp it hard (roots need air).

Growing & Care (Beginner + Advanced)

• Water regularly in summer, less in winter
• During heavy rains, check drainage (very important in Indian monsoon)
• Add organic manure twice a year
• Light pruning after harvest helps shape the plant

Nursery Secrets

In my nursery, I always check soil moisture with my finger. If top 2 inches are dry, then water.

1. Use bamboo stick support for first 1–2 years (plants bend in wind).
2. After flowering, avoid too much water (otherwise flowers may drop).
3. Apply cow dung compost before monsoon (plants respond well).
4. Watch for ants near flowers (they invislightly every month for even growth.

Sometimes fruits look small first, don’t panic, they size up later.
